Background: I grew up in Avalon on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and started sailing at the age of five.
Been part of the Wild Oats program: since 2012 as ‘traveller’. which means I move around the boat managing the setup of the rig, deflectors and helping with the speed trim.
Number of Hobart races: This year will be my 16th
Being on the start line on Boxing Day: I always feel a little anxious, but it’s an exciting time. The final five minutes before the start gun go pretty fast; you don’t get to hear much because of the helicopters overhead.
