Role: I am a bit of ring-in really. I normally maintain the engineering systems on the boat.

Background: I grew up in country Victoria and started sailing late in life. I’m a late learner but lucky enough to have these opportunities.

Been part the Wild Oats XI since: the start in 2005. This will be my 16^th Sydney Hobart.  

What item do you always pack: I pack as light as possible, and no good luck charms!

Being on the start line on Boxing Day:  It’s awesome. There’s a little anxiety about getting a good start and getting out of the Heads, but it’s exciting, fun times. Once we clear the Heads everything calms down a bit and we get on with the job.
